The g by Free Fall is the simplest approach yet to a basic experiment in mechanics. The timer starts when the ball bearing is manually released from the release unit, and stops the clock as the ball bearing hits the impact plate on the base which has an integral vibration sensor. Replace the ball bearing, reset the timer, and the unit is ready to go again.
